So apparently WFMY News 2 did a story about the Barack Obama and John McCain one-shots from IDW and told everyone to come to us to get it. We love that. Unfortunately, we had already sold out of the Obama book yesterday and McCain went first thing this morning, but there is a re-order on its way! Acme E-Mail Update #18: Post-Baltimore Comic Con Edition
As most of you know, Acme
Comics sent representatives deep into the city of Baltimore Maryland to
keep the devil way down in the hole and to take in the Baltimore Comic
Con. What a show it was. We're all still exhausted from the trip, the
show itself, and the late nights. We'll be blogging about all the
details, which I am already starting to forget in my old age. But
despite the huge lines and phalanxes of comic fans, we did come back

Coming to you from the couch at home rather than a hotel room in Baltimore, but I assure you the lateness isn't due to lack of trying. Wireless connections in the Charm City were trash, but I'll rave about that more later.
This is the fabled "slow" week most people have been praying for, so pick up on those Marvel Boy hardcovers, the 50% off "N" backstock, and anything else you've been waiting for a chance to get in on!
And as always, the First Look is just that.

Acme E-Mail Update #17: Baltimore Comicon Edition
So much going on! We're
preparing for the upcoming signing, we have about 10 boxes of fresh
back issues to get put out, and we're taking the Acme name national
this weekend at the Baltimore Comicon! This is a rare convention that
will feature tons of big names and is also Bendis and Oeming's last
convention appearance any time soon. Now I don't know what "Twitter"
is but apparently its in the computers and we'll be updating that with

I had written 2,000 words for this week's posting, mostly about tonight's Emmy Awards, next Saturday's Harvey Awards, music, skateboarding, and summer. I just deleted them all.

I appreciate the patience of all the DC fans that held tight while we worked with Diamond to correct all of the shortages this week!
Next week we'll be coming to you by remote from Baltimore Comic Con! We'll be taking video of all of the proceedings (including Saturday's night's Harvey Awards ceremony!), but it's not too late to call, e-mail, or dictate your questions for any of the creators on the guest list!
