Now's your chance to sit in on the inaugural Acme Comics Book Club, as Pete & Austin lead a group discussion of one of the most important works in the 76 year history of DC Comics, Kingdom Come, and end take a surprise call-in from the book's writer, Mark Waid!
We all read comics, but do you ever get to talk to someone about what you just read? Well, now's your chance!
We are formally announcing the start of ACME COMICS BOOK CLUB!
It will be a club that meets once a month to talk about a chosen graphic novel or trade paperback. We are still working on a few details, but the first meeting will be September 28th at 8 PM and the first discussion will be on Mark Waid & Alex Ross's Kingdom Come.

September marks twenty official years of Jermaine at Acme Comics, as well as his trip "over the hill!" Before there was Lord Retail, there was just a guy building displays and pointing out cool must-read back issues.
"It seems like just yesterday that I was helping out around this place, now I look up and twenty years have passed. But how often is anyone at the same job for twenty years? How often is a comic shop in existence for thirty-three years? Let's do some fun stuff in September. One of my favorite things, an aspect of Acme that I think is sometimes taken for granted, is our awesome selection of back issues. So one of the things I want to do is a back issue sale, one people will remember, that maybe creates a new appreciation for the comics that came before!"
Stephen, Pete & Austin give Jay his moment in the spotlight as they discover how he championed comics as literature while shaping young minds as a high school drama teacher for over a decade, used his job as a radio DJ to develop his collecting habits, and brought it all back around to Star Trek, as always!
